JB-Singapore RTS Link targeted to start service in Dec 2026, will run from 6am to 12am
The first of eight trains for the Johor Bahru-Singapore RTS Link has been unveiled. Rail system works are about 56% completed, with tracks set to be laid by end-July. Once completed, the trains will run from 6am to midnight daily. Each train can typically hold a normal capacity of 607 people. The fully automated, driverless trains can carry 10,000 passengers an hour in each direction, with a peak-hour frequency of 3.6 minutes. Charlotte Lim reports.Â
